Jacklyn McIntee began painting after she retired in 2019. Searching for a creative outlet, she found a group of artist at the Franciscan Life Processing Center lead by art director, Kathleen Bechtel. Kathleen took Jacklyn under her wing and gave her the tools and knowledge she needed to work her way from drawing to painting. Jacklyn also attends workshops from artists she admires. Painting with oils in her studio or plein air, her passion is to paint the ordinary, capturing the peaceful atmosphere and vivid colors of her everyday surroundings. When she's not painting, Jacklyn enjoys hiking and biking with her husband, where a lot of her inspiration comes from.
